A space to show up as you truly are
Find Yourself At

At Wei Counselling, we create a therapeutic space where you can feel safe, supported, and truly seen. Our mission is to offer healing that honors your story, your culture, your lived experiences, and the unique path that brought you here. This is a place where you can bring your questions, your struggles, your resilience, and your hopes. You’ll be met with compassion, respect, and a therapist who shows up with authenticity and genuine care.
Where understanding meets growth
The Beginning of this Path
Wei Counselling was founded by Wei Luo in September 2023. After years of searching for a therapist who truly understood her, Wei realized how hard it can be to find someone who feels genuine, someone who listens, connects, and creates a space where you can simply be human.
Growing up, Wei understood that in her culture, emotions were often seen as a weakness. Talking about feelings wasn’t always encouraged, and finding a therapist who resonated with her cultural background felt almost impossible. Through her own healing journey, she learned how important it is to be met with understanding, empathy, and cultural sensitivity.
Wei Counselling was created for those who long to feel safe in relationships, who want to feel seen and accepted within their cultural identity, and who are searching for a space where they can truly exhale and be themselves. It’s a space grounded in warmth, authenticity, and connection — a place where you can show up as you are.
Wei Counselling was born to provide trauma-informed and culturally responsive care that feels safe, authentic, and deeply human. Beyond that, Wei hopes to grow a community filled with therapists who are compassionate, reliable, and dedicated to creating spaces where everyone feels supported and understood.

SHE/ HER/HERS
Service Area: oshawa, ontario, canadaHi, my name is Wei and I’m so glad you’re here! I’m the founder of Wei Counselling, and I come from a background where we were taught to rationalize everything; where feelings were often seen as distractions or signs of weakness. For a long time, I believed that too. I tried to make sense of life through logic alone, keeping my emotions neatly tucked away.
If you’re someone who was taught to stay strong, to hold it all together, or to keep your feelings to yourself, I see you. Maybe you’ve always been deeply self-aware, or maybe you’ve never had a space where your emotions felt safe to explore. I know how that feels because I’ve been there too.
I’m here to help break the stigma that still exists in many Asian communities around mental health and emotional expression. My hope is to create a space where you can feel like yourself, where you can express your emotions freely, be met with compassion, and know that your experiences are valid and deeply human.
Therapy with me isn’t about fixing yourself, because you’re not broken. It’s about creating a space where we can explore hope, identity, and what it means to be human. Together, we’ll collaborate, reflect, and move through the ups and downs of your journey.
Healing isn’t linear; it’s messy, beautiful, and sometimes hard. But you don’t have to go through it alone. I’m here to help you slow things down, make sense of what’s happening, and take things one step at a time. Along the way, I may share a few tools or reflections to support your growth, and together we’ll find what feels right for you.
This is your space to breathe, to explore, and to grow, at your own pace, in your own way.

Get to Know Me
When I’m not in session, you can usually find me rotting in bed, binging K-dramas like When Life Gives You Tangerines, Queen of Tears, or It’s Okay to Not Be Okay. I also have a soft spot for crime shows, with Criminal Minds being my guilty pleasure.
Iced matcha lattes with oat milk and zero sugar are my jam, trust me, they’re delicious. I’m a huge K-pop fan, Blackpink is a forever favorite, Lisa is my go-to, and I can’t get enough of LE SSERAFIM.
Recently, I’ve picked up bouldering and love going to the gym, still working toward my first pull-up. I’m also a big fan of Demon Slayer, so if you ever visit the office, you might spot some Nezuko figures. And when I need a different kind of challenge, I enjoy building Lego sets.
Basically, if it’s cozy, dramatic, full of catchy tunes, a little bit of adventure, or a fun creative project, I’m in!
